چکیده
Abstract Anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty is a widely used definitive surgical solution for end-stage glenohumeral joint osteoarthritis and associated with good clinical outcomes. has role patients under 50 years of age who have exhausted nonoperative management over 80 an intact rotator cuff. Patients younger than place greater demands on their replaced shoulders, raising concerns about implant survivorship in particular the failure glenoid component. There are limited data long-term anatomic literature. Modern bone-preserving designs utilizing newer materials may contribute to improved outcomes survivorship. Achieving comparable functional remains challenge related cuff failure. However, appropriately selected years, provides better pain relief function reverse arthroplasty.

Background: While outcomes of primary anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (aTSA) are generally favorable, resultsafter revision procedures are less reliable. This study examines the functional outcomes, complications, and implantsurvival in patients who underwent revision of aTSA to aTSA.Methods: Patients who underwent revision aTSA were identified from 2008-2015. متن کاملAnatomic and Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty in Patients Older Than 80 Years.
Anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) are routinely performed in patients older than 80 years. Often unaware of the differences between the 2 procedures, patients may expect similar outcomes from these procedures. This article reports the outcomes of primary TSA and RSA in patients older than 80 years, with attention directed toward differences...
متن کاملBilateral anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty versus reverse shoulder arthroplasty.
The results of anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty and reverse shoulder arthroplasty have previously been reported separately. Although the indications differ, scenarios exist in which a patient may have a total shoulder arthroplasty on 1 shoulder and a reverse shoulder arthroplasty on the contralateral shoulder.Between 1992 and 2009, twelve patients underwent bilateral sequential primary shou...
متن کاملComparison of satisfied and dissatisfied patients 2 to 5 years after anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty.
BACKGROUND With an increasingly large number of patients undergoing total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) combined with increased requirements for public reporting of patient outcomes, there is a greater need to better understand the underlying factors related to patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to compare patient demographics, nonorthopedic comorbidities, patient-reported outcom...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) gives good outcome in the treatment of primary osteoarthritis, but it is not known whether this also applies to patients over 80 years old. PATIENTS AND METHODS We retrospectively assessed outcome in patients over the age of 80 after anatomic TSA, performed for primary osteoarthritis with a preoperative intact rotator cuff (gro...
